These humidifier pads ensure that the water from the reservoir is distributed throughout the piano or grand piano. In the water reservoir, there are 2 pads hanging over a heating tube. The water is absorbed by the pads, and the heating tube evaporates the water into the air so that it disperses throughout the instrument. The Dampp-Chaser Pads need to be replaced twice a year.
